acceleration - The change in velocity over a given period of time. (Velocity / Time) (m/s/s).
force - An external body that causes an acceleration or the deformation of an object. (mass * acceleration) (kg*m/s^2) (Newtons)
impulse - Represents the time multiplied by the force which acts upon it. (force * time) (N * s)
momentum - Equal to impulse, it represents the end result of the mass of the object multiplied by its velocity. (mass * velocity) (kg * m/s)
node - Point on a baseball bat in which, upon contact with the baseball, vibrations within the bat cancel each other out and the end result is no vibration is felt at that point. (a.k.a. "the sweet spot")
velocity - magnitude and direction of an object over a given period of time. (distance * direction / time) (+ or - m / s)
work - As long as it is done in the direction of the force, it is equal to the force applied on the object multiplied by the displacement of the object. No displacement = no work. (force * displacement) (kg*m/s^2 * m) (joules)
